This silver commemorative medal was issued by Wat Ban Rai to mark Luang Phor Koon’s 84th birthday. The classic rian format carries his portrait on the front in the tradition of Wat Ban Rai commemorative issues.

Luang Phor Koon Parisuttho of Wat Ban Rai was one of Thailand’s most beloved monks of the twentieth century, celebrated for his blunt, compassionate manner and his tireless charitable work across Isan. His amulets remain among the most widely collected in the country.
