Phra Phuttha Mongkhon – Luang Phor Viriyang Sirintharo.

• Date: May 15, 1978 (B.E. 2521).

• Design: Classic Sukhothai-style Buddha in the “Subduing Mara” posture. The base features Thai script identifying the occasion.

• Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Includes the original clear acrylic temple case with gold-leaf lettering.

• Provenance: Directly linked to the lineage of Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta and the Thai Forest Tradition.

Purpose of the Amulet

• Merit-Making: Created to dedicate merit to the deceased (Luang Phor Viriyang’s mother).

Since this is associated with Luang Phor Viriyang and the Forest Tradition, the general meditation mantra he taught is often used:

“Namo Tassa Bhagavato Arahato Samma Sambuddhassa” (3 times)

“Shin-Na-Bun-Chon” (The Chinabanchorn Prayer) is also highly appropriate for statues blessed in this tradition.
