Thao Wessuwan (Vaisravana) is the Guardian King of the North in Thai Buddhist cosmology, revered as the divine protector of wealth and the ruler of the Yaksha (giant spirit) realm. His image on this coin amulet from Wat Suthat Thepwararam carries his traditional emblems of power and authority.
